Asia Cup is going to kick off very soon and the countdown has already begun…!!

The tournament is scheduled to begin on August 27 and on September 11. Notably, Asia Cup will be held in the T20 format and this is for the second time in the tournament's history. The teams that are set to play are India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. Reportedly, a sixth will be joining after winning a qualifier round.

Teams in the Asia Cup are divided into two groups named Group A and Group B. India, Pakistan and Hong Kong are placed in Group A, and Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan are placed in Group B. India is the current champion been the winner 7 times. Cricket matches between India and Pakistan are a treat to watch for cricket fans across the world and both teams are going to face other on 28 August amidst the former Australian cricketer Shane Watson’s prediction of India as the winner of the match. This all indicates towards India is on the winning side as it has won the T20 international’s inaugural matches.

1. Rohit Sharma

The 35-year-old Indian captain has several records named after him and has played over 132 T20 international matches scoring 3487 runs at a strike rate of 140.26. 2. Virat Kohli

Having several records named after him, Virat Kohli has been struggling with poor performance issues on the field for quite a while now. 3. Babar Azam

In 2022, he has taken 20 wickets in 17 matches at an economy rate of 6.84. This means, that the Indian cricket fans can expect a magical performance from the pacer.

5. Haris Rauf

Pakistani pacer Haris Rauf is at the time in his form that can be considered another plus point that the Pakistan Team has in the absence of Shaheen Shah Afridi. Rauf can hit at the speed of 150 kmph and with his consistently good performance of 42 wickets in 35 T20 international matches at the economy rate of 8.51, he is someone that Team Indian must be keeping a watch to counter.
