Brad Pitt is one of the biggest and most respected names in the Hollywood industry. He is an American actor and film producer. Brad Pitt was born on 18 December 1963 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, United Nations. He has won several awards for his works and projects. Brad started his career in 1987 and got global recognition from Thelma and Louise in 1991 when he played the role of a cowboy hitchhiker. He is one of the greatest actors in the Hollywood industry. Brad Pitt – Early Life: 

Brad Pitt was born on 18 December 1963 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, United Nations. His parents are William Alvin Pitt and Jane Etta. He was grown up in Springfield, Missouri. Pitt attended Kickapoo High School and enrolled at the University of Missouri in 1982. He studied journalism at the university but didn’t complete his graduation. Within two weeks he dropped out of the university and moved to Los Angeles. He joined acting classes and took acting lessons from Roy London. 

Brad Pitt – Career:

The superstar began his acting career in 1987 with small roles in the movie No Way Out[1987], No Man’s Land[1987], and Less Than Zero[1987]. The same year in May 1987 he made his television debut on the NBC soap opera Another World and did the role in two episodes. He played several cameo roles in different television shows like Trial and Error[1987], Growing Pains[1987], Dallas[1987 and 1988], Jump Street[1988], etc. The first movie in which Brad Pitt did the leading role was The Dark Side of the Sun[1988]. The film was not released due to the outbreak of the Croatian War of Independence. It was a huge disappointment for him and had to cancel the screening of his first movie where he played the lead role.

The first movie with the actor which reached the cinema was Cutting Glass. In 1990 he starred in the NBC television movie Too Young To Die as Billy Canton a drug addict. He did several guest appearances, cameos, commercials ads, and supporting roles and gained a major fandom by his supporting role in the 1991 road film Thelma and Louise. He was getting attention for his roles but as his career was not reaching high so he was not happy as he wanted to act more and gain more leading roles rather than supporting roles. After that, he starred in two movies Johnny Suede[1991] and Cool World[1992], both of the movies collected poor reviews and box office collections.

But after some time things changed and his role in Paul Maclean’s biographical film A River Runs Through it[1992] gave him that break for which the actor was waiting for a long time as he got a lot of appreciation for his role. In 1993 he worked in a movie alongside Juliette Lewis in the film Kalifornia. In 1994 he got a role in a multi-starer movie that included a famous cast in the horror film Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles. The movie won MTV Movie Awards but Pitt’s performance in the movie was a huge disappointment and got a lot of negative reviews. His acting skills were questioned and critics negative reviews slightly harmed his career.

In 1994 Pitt got his first Golden Globe Award nomination for his role in the movie Legends of the Fall based on a novel by Jim Harrison. In 1995 he released the movie Seven which got good reviews from critics and his performance was also appreciated. The movie collected a nice box office collection worldwide of $327 million. In 1997 Pitt starred in the movie Fight Club. He prepared a lot for the movie. The movie earned a critical negative review but helped Pitt to get praised for his performance.

This period was life-changing in his career. In 2000 his movie Snatch was released and the actor got praised for his performance. The story of the movie got mixed reviews. Then, he starred in the movie Spy Game[2001] which was again a success at the box office. The movie grossed $143 million. Next, the actor did a guest appearance in one of the last famous television series Friends in 2001 and even got a nomination for his role in Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor In Comedy series. Pitt had two major movies that changed his career and helped to gain worldwide recognition for him in 2004. His movie was Tory[2004]. It has the first movie of his own production which he founded in 2002 with Jennifer Aniston and Brad Grey called Plan B Entertainment. In 2005 he starred in the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith alongside Angelina Jolie. The film grossed $478 million worldwide and was one of the biggest films in 2005.

Brad Pitt – Personal Life:

In his early career, Brad Pitt had several relationships with his co-stars till the 1990s. On July 29, 2000, he married actress Jennifer Aniston in a private wedding ceremony but unfortunately, their divorce was finalized in court on October 2, 2005. After the relationship with Aniston got over, Brad Pitt started to date the co-star of the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Angelina Jolie. The relationship attracted a lot of paparazzi towards them. On January 11, 2006, Jolie announced her pregnancy with Pitt’s child. They got engaged in 2012 and after seven years they finally married each other on August 23, 2014. But their marriage didn’t last for too long and they divorced on April 12, 2019.
