Bezos was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He graduated from Princeton University in 1986 with a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science. While Jeff was attending high school, he used to work at McDonald’s as a short-order line cook on the breakfast shift. After he graduated from Princeton University in 1986 he received job offers from Intel, Bell Labs, and Andersen Consulting.

He worked at Fitel, which was a financial telecommunication company. Then he switched to DE Shaw where he met Mackenzie, and both of them fell in love and married. Then in 1994, Bezos and Mackenzie started Amazon in a small garage.
