A 1983 American made-for-television comedy film titled High School U.S.A. was directed by Rod Amateau and starred Michael J. Fox, Nancy McKeon, Anthony Edwards, and Todd Bridges. On October 16, 1983, NBC broadcast the film for the first time. The plot of the movie centers on the mystery at Excelsior Union High School. J.J. Manners, played by Michael J. Fox, develops feelings for Beth Franklin, Beau Middleton’s girlfriend (played by Nancy McKeon). The main conflict in the narrative is between Manners and Middleton for Beth. The last showdown in this rivalry is a drag race between the two. The outcome of the race tips the scales and permanently alters the dynamics inside the institution. 1. Michael J. Fox as Jay-Jay Manners

Portrayed by Michael J. Fox, Jay-Jay Manners is a young man who pursues the girlfriend of a rival from a popular clique and teachers who are competing for a monetary incentive that a wealthy father is offering. Micheal J. Fox, an English-born American movie star, is the son of Michael Fox. He is best known for the movies “Family Ties” and “Back to the Future”.

2. Nancy McKeon as Beth Franklin

Played by Nancy McKeon, Beth Franklin is the girlfriend of Beau Middleton. In the end, J.J. ends up winning Beth’s affection. Nancy McKeon is a well-known activist, TV personality, and professional actor. Nancy McKeon, born in 1940, is mostly of Scottish and Irish origin. She has American citizenship and is of Caucasian ancestry. At Wesleyan University, he majored in American studies, and Johns Hopkins University awarded him a master’s degree in writing. In 1986, he made his acting debut in the indie film Molly. In the popular 1987 picture Pretty in Pink, Edwards played her first significant cinematic role. 

4. Todd Bridges as Otto Lipton

Otto is a genius student with a 200 IQ who has invented a robot. For his part as Coach John Baxter in the sitcom Coach, Todd Bridges is a well-known actor and his works include The Big Bang Theory, Boston Legal, NCIS: Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, 90210, 7th Heaven, and Desperate Housewives. He also played Papa Smurf in The Smurfs 2 in 2012. For his work in Desperate Housewives, Todd Bridges received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Miniseries, or Motion Picture Made for Television. For his work on The Big Bang Theory, he was nominated in 2014 for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series.
